The adoption process at Milo’s Dog Rescue of South Florida is relatively straightforward.
In order to adopt from Milo’s:
- You must be 21 years or older
- If you rent, we will need a copy of your lease to confirm the pet policy/addendum and/or consent from your landlord to have a pet
- All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed/neutered and vaccinations up to date
- Agree to have a home visit done by one of our volunteers. The volunteers will need to see all areas of your home, including the backyard, if applicable.
Upon receipt of your application, Milo’s Dog Rescue of South Florida will review your application and confirm the information provide. After an application is approved a home visit, in person or virtual, will be scheduled. Please understand it may take us several days to complete the application review process. We are a 100% volunteer-based organization.
When the adoption is completed, you will receive all pertinent information on the animal, including vaccination records and any other health information. You will be responsible for registering the animal with the appropriate authorities, as well as registering their microchip.
